The VE Boogie.

Natasha and Craig have a developed a routine which uses several moves taught in the 8 count beginner class. It was called the VE Boogie as the first time it was danced by Swing in the Isle at a public event was to celebrate VE Day.

The moves used in this routine are often covered in our beginner classes.  Head over to our Beginner Videos 8 Count Lindy Hop to see recap videos of the moves in this routine.

The Frankie Manning Tribute Routine

Natasha & Craig developed this routine as a way to consolidate several 6 count moves they taught together.

As it contains as series of moves collectively called ‘the Frankie 6’s’ (after Frankie Manning, one of the founders of Lindy Hop), they decided to call the whole routine after the man himself!

The moves used in this routine are often part of our 6 count classes.

A couple of the moves can be seen in the free recap videos in our Beginner & Improvers moves video section.

This video is in slow 6 count and there are 2 versions. The easier version has some extra basics added.

Once you’ve mastered it in slow count, work up to doing the whole routine using triple step and without the additional basics.

Watch out for the Christmas outfit!
